Data Retention Policies
Control how long survey response data is stored in your account.
Default Retention
By default, AItocha Surveys retains your data indefinitely while your account is active.
What's Stored:
- Survey configurations and settings
- Response data (ratings, feedback, metadata)
- Analytics and aggregated statistics
- Activity logs and audit trails
Custom Retention Policies
Set automatic data deletion after a specified period:
30 Days
For temporary surveys or quick feedback
90 Days
Quarterly review cycles
1 Year
Annual comparison data
Custom
Set any period (Business plan)
Setting Up Retention
- Go to Settings → Data & Privacy
- Find "Data Retention" section
- Select your preferred retention period
- Choose whether to apply to existing data
- Confirm your changes
Manual Deletion
Delete data manually at any time:
Deletion Options:
- Single response: Delete individual responses
- By date range: Delete all responses within a period
- By survey: Delete all responses for a survey
- By respondent: Delete all data from a specific email
- Full account: Delete everything (account deletion)
What Happens When Data is Deleted
- Response data is permanently removed from our servers
- Aggregated analytics are recalculated
- Backups are purged within 30 days
- Deletion is irreversible - export first if needed
Account Deletion
When you delete your account:
- All surveys and responses are deleted immediately
- Team members lose access
- Subscription is cancelled
- Data cannot be recovered
