Employee Engagement Survey Template

Engagement is a leading indicator for turnover and for customer experience. This template asks about the specific drivers of engagement rather than a single "are you happy" question, and ends with an employee NPS score you can trend over time. Turn on anonymous mode if you want candid answers.

Tips for using this template

  • Keep the wording identical every cycle. Changing a question resets its trend line.
  • Report results by driver, not just the overall score, so teams know what to work on.
  • Commit to two or three visible actions per cycle and report on them before the next survey.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good employee NPS?

Anything above zero means more promoters than detractors. Scores of 20 to 30 are solid for most companies; above 50 is exceptional.

Should engagement surveys be anonymous?

Usually yes, especially for companies under a few hundred people. Turn on anonymous mode and avoid demographic filters that narrow to fewer than five people.
